When someone makes a mistake and “owns” it — let him or her learn the ethical lessons and be a better person(s).

The man made a huge mistake and unlike other political figures who have claimed, “I never has sexual relations with that woman;” he “owned” it – admitted it – stood up and said — I messed up and I am stepping down. My ethical compass went off course so I need to step back and readdress.
I can respect a man that says, “shame on me” and does something about it.
Right or wrong – it is between Holly and himself and the rest of us need to stay out of it and honor his ability to accept the consequences…whatever they may be. Good Luck to the family.

 
David Petraeus never shied away from the public eye before in times of crises. Now, he might not have a choice.
